What I pack for my roadtrips!

Planning a little getaway? I got you.  After years of being forced to whittle away my standard two suitcases to one weekender I've had to find products that do double duty and don't take up space.  Here are some of my favorite things that got me from dancing the night away in the city to climbing a glacier.

Australian Scent soap bar in oats, goats and bees.  It's natural,  smells super yummy and does triple duty as a body, face and hair bar.

Hunter perfume by MCMC fragrances.  Mostly organic, smells sexy and outdoorsy and its petite size is perfect for traveling.

A fabulous dress.  It rolls up nicely and can be dressed up or down.  Plus it has a pocket! Available in Sept.

Mocassins!  I'm obssessed.  They are comfy for long plane and car rides, cool enough to stroll through the cities and sturdy enough to climb the side of a mountain (I had to do this once).  My favorite are vintage but I do have a nice collection of minnetonka mocs too.

Hester Street Style + Fun New Things

Its pretty clear to us that the ladies and men of the LES have great style and we couldn't keep from snapping a few photos to show you whats going on at the fair. Zarie also returned from her trip up north with lots of new dresses jewelry and bags so stop by this Saturday or Sunday (that's right we will be there all weekend with the goods).

NY Mag Shop-a-Matic + SALE!

The lovely ladies at New York Mag put together a stellar collection of vintage available in the city now.  We were super excited to not only be a part of it but also have our clutch in the magazine version.  The necklace and clutch have already been snatched up, but we will have the silk top and dress available at the Hester Street Fair tomorrow. Thanks Ladies!

Also tomorrow Saturday the 22nd we will be having a SALE SALE SALE at the Hester Street Fair in anticipation of my upcoming road trip.  We need to make room, so stop by and shop our $20 section featuring loads of bargains.

Fair Re-Cap

First of all we want to thank all our friends and customers that came out to the opening weekend of the fair. If you came out kudos to you for braving the huge crowds and lines. Our weekend was amazing and had so much awesome stuff flying off the racks that I had to make an emergency road trip to restock! Not complaining though. Safija, Deedee (our fabulous wing-lady) and I helped customers, danced to the music from our tiny speakers and sampled the yummy food vendors. The following Saturday was a little more mellow, which gave us a chance to breathe a little and check out the vendors and fashion. I got snapped by a couple street style bloggers due to the amazing leather necklace Safija made me for my birthday (Thanks Saf!). She reassures me there will be more necklaces for the fair this Saturday - Yay!

Our newest team member Safija is not only taking over our jewelry dept. (trust us after seeing her jewelry collection we will be in very good hands), but also has her own line of jewelry (Haknik).  She agreed to do a couple of exclusive pieces for Wanderlust, but until then here is some eye candy from her line.
